AVAILABILITY / DATES

Is Villa Henri still available?
I keep my availability page up-to-date, so please look at that. I get enquiries every day (many, many times each day in the spring and summer months!) so if you are interested, please tell me as soon as possible. If more than one group wants the villa at the same time, the first group to send me the registration form and deposit payment gets the villa!
Can we arrive and depart on a different day to Saturday?
Saturdays are the normal days, but we can discuss this and sometimes Fridays or Sundays are possible.
I can't find a flight which arrives on Saturday, can you help me?
Yes. There are many airports within a 2 hour drive - with flights from all over Europe. Please look at my travel page for details.
What is the minimum rental period?
1 week

PRICES AND TOTAL COSTS

Do you give discounts / can you give me your 'best price'?
My 'best price' is always on my prices page.
Are there any extras?
First, please read the notes on my prices page below the table of prices.
For most people, everything is included except the cleaning charge and shower & beach towels. If you have special needs such as baby-cots or extra single beds, these are available at low extra cost. For example an extra, small single bed costs €35 per week, including bed linen and laundry.
How do I make a reservation? Do I have to make a deposit payment?
First, please send me your enquiry so I can confirm that Villa Henri hasn't just been booked. (My villa availability page is updated within 48 hours of each booking.) Im happy to answer any further questions you might have.
If you decide to book Villa Henri for your holiday, I will send you a booking form and the standard terms and conditions. I need a 50% rent deposit and the Security Deposit (€600).
I will then email to confirm your reservation. Simple!
There are many villas in or near Pezenas, why is Villa Henri special?
There are very few nice rental villas which are actually IN Pezenas. Unfortunately many villa owners describe their villas as being in Pezenas, but they're not. In fact they are normally many miles away, in a little village or in the countryside, a long way from anything.
Being in Pezenas is a little more expensive, but it's worth it!
We're coming from a long way (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Arab countries, Russia, China, Japan, etc) - Can you help me?
Yes, I've had many guests from other continents. It costs you nothing to ask me questions about staying at Villa Henri Pezenas.

THE POOL AND THE OUTSIDE

Is the pool private or shared?
It's private! That means private and exclusive to you. Some villa owners say their pool is 'private' because it is not open to the public, but you have to share it with other villas.
The pool at Villa Henri is only for you - private and exclusive.
Is the pool heated?
This is the South of France so the sun heats it!
This year clients started swimming in it from the end of March and they are still swimming in it now (it's the beginning of October when I'm writing this).
Does the pool have a security fence? How big is the pool?
Yes it has a security fence and a splash alarm. The fence is not shown in the photos on my website. French law requires a fence OR a splash alarm. Villa Henri has BOTH. Groups without young children normally remove the security fence, which is easy to do for an adult.
The pool measures 10 metres x 3 metres.
Are there sun-loungers? What about other garden furniture?
There are 8 sun-loungers and 3 sun-chairs. There are 2 main outside dining tables and another table. There are 18 seats, in addition to the sun-loungers and sun-chairs. There are 3 main terrace areas and there's a large built-in barbecue.

CHILDREN, BABIES, and DOGS

Are babies allowed at Villa Henri?
Yes. I can also rent you a high-chair and baby cots if you want.
Is it safe for children?
The entire property is walled and gated and the pool has security fencing and a splash alarm. The pool water is very clean. However inside the villa there are no special features like baby stair-gates, protected electric sockets, childproof locks, etc.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. There are conditions and there's a dog supplement of €50 per week, but we allow dogs. (My husband and I have a dog!)
Is there parking?
Yes. There is one space in the driveway and spaces in the Place (square) outside the villa. Parking is FREE.
Is there WiFi / TV / a games console?
Free WiFi: Yes.
Free English satellite freeview TV: Yes.
Games console: No. (You should be outside somewhere, enjoying yourselves!)
There is a table tennis table in the games room and there are also some board games and playing cards.

BEDS, BATHROOMS, and OTHER QUESTIONS

How many beds are there?
Bed linen is provided and the standard set-up is :-

4 bedrooms with double beds (including a 4-poster)
1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds.

It is possible to add more beds (small singles or bunk-beds) @ €35 per week each, including bed linen and laundry.
We want the extra beds you offer - where can we put them?
You have a choice. The 4-poster bedroom will take a small single bed. There's also a spare room / "6th bedroom" which is the size of a double bedroom, and this will take two single beds or two bunk-beds. However this room doesn't have any windows, so it is only really suitable for children.
Where are the bathrooms?
There are 3 showers and 3 WC's and they are here:-

Upper floor: Shower-room with WC
Upper floor: Shower-room
Upper floor: Separate WC
Ground floor: Ensuite shower-room/WC leading off the 4-poster bedroom.
What should we bring with us for the first night?
Villa Henri is offered for independent self-catering holidays and it's not an hotel. Please read these FAQs carefully to know about things like extra beds, towels, etc. All my clients are different and if you would like basic provisions in the villa on arrival, please let me know here : Basic Provisions Request. This pack includes some simple food and drink, and basic toiletries and household supplies, and it costs €59.75. It gets you started!

Please note that previous guests often leave basic items when they leave, and that I ensure there are some things like toilet rolls, but if you want to be sure about things then please contact me for the Basic Provisions Pack.
Is there a washing machine, a dishwasher, a hairdryer?
Yes.
Are there any disadvantages to renting Villa Henri Pezenas?
You will see from my guestbook comments and online reviews that everyone who rents Villa Henri loves it! However, I don't think it's suitable for everyone looking for a rental villa.

If you want to be miles (kilometres) out in the countryside, it's not for you.
If you want acres (hectares) of garden to walk in, it's not for you.
If you want antique furniture and old ornaments, it's not for you.
If you want a cheap villa, it's not for you.

You can get all of those things if you don't mind driving 15 minutes to the nearest bakery to get croissants. There are many rental villas in little villages and in the countryside, and they will normally be cheaper. Villa Henri is priced mid-range because of its location and facilities.
So what are the main advantages of Villa Henri?

The fact it's in Pezenas which is THE place to be in the Languedoc
Lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, art galleries and workshops, 37 'listed' buildings, 1000 years of history
Supermarket 2 minutes from the villa
Beaches, mountains, rivers and lakes are all 20-25 minutes away
Nearest airport 20 minutes away, 7 more airports within 45-120 minutes
