TYPICAL VILLA REVIEW

“A little piece of Paradise! Couldn't have asked for more.”    - Sept 2012

"We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Villa Henri in Pezenas. The villa is in a perfect quiet location on the edge of town, an easy stroll into the bustling centre of Pezenas.

The house was very comfortable really well equipped with everything we could have needed. The owners have catered for every eventuality, from al fresco dining on the terraces and soaking up the sun by the pool to cosy nights in with a good book or watching TV.

Sara and Leigh, the owners, were really great to deal with and were very quick to reply to my many emails in advance of arrival. Their welcome was so warm and friendly and they couldn't do enough to advise us on things to do in the area.

We went on a brilliant wine tour organised by Sara and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We visited 2 domaines and even though it was busy harvesting season, Sara was able to organise for us to speak with one of the wine makers who was lovely and who explained the process and allowed us to taste the wine at the early stages of productions.

Pezenas is a truly charming medieval town, with a lovely atmosphere and lots of cobbled streets with many great restaurants and gorgeous little craft shops selling everything from handmade soap and art to textiles and wooden toys.

It was also a great base for discovering the wider area and a short distance from several great beaches. I could go on and on but I am afraid that Villa Henri will be booked out the next time that I want to visit - and I really hope that there will be a next time!"

“Villa Henri - Comes highly recommended!” - Sept 2012

"A group of 10 of us stayed in Villa Henri for a week in September 2012, and absolutely loved it.

We had so much fun staying there as everything in the Villa is equipped for the perfect holiday: A lovely pool and lounging area, BBQ facilities, large tables for late night meals and drinks outside, three showers and toilets (important in a large group), a fully equipped kitchen, five perfectly sized bedrooms, outdoor parking etc. It even has English TV!

I couldn’t recommend Pézenas highly enough either. It’s just a beautiful little town straight out of a scene from 'Jean de Florette' and the villa is located about a ten minute walk into the centre of it. It’s also a five minute walk to the nearest supermarket.

Another important point is that the owners, Sara and Leigh are fabulous. They were very welcoming and friendly and took a lot of time before the holiday helping to organise things for us, including the arrival, activities during the stay etc, which was appreciated, and something you don't always get with some private rentors.

They really go the extra mile for you to make sure you have everything you need for the trip before and during it. They also offer a big range of activities to do while you’re there: canoeing, sightseeing and wine tastings etc. We opted for a dégustation at a Chateau and a music night at Leigh’s and Sara’s villa after, which was a lot of fun – especially if you like a bit of a sing song!

I’d happily recommend Villa Henri to anyone wanting to stay in that part of France and would happily go back."
