A French couple offer boat trips on the Canal du Midi, near to us. They take up to 27 passengers on a variety of short trips or cruises, for lunch or dinner. I act as their English-speaking booking agent.

The atmosphere is wonderful and you'll experience a small part of the majestic waterway which runs from France's Atlantic Coast near Toulouse all the way down here to the Bassin de Thau just south of us. These boat trips take place in an area of the Canal between Beziers and Carcassonne. The Canal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 and is known around the World. If you come to the Languedoc on holiday, a Canal du Midi boat trip or cruise is just one of those things you have to do! |

Just wanted to report that we had a wonderful time on the lunch cruise. Lunch was delicious, and the way things were organized was perfect.
Enough time outside to see things at the beginning and end, and of course you can see out while eating in the nicely designed dining room.
The captain and his wife were VERY accommodating, and the captain talked about many things as we cruised down the canal.
